Ingredients
1 15 oz Can of Black Beans
1/2 Tsp Chipotle Powder
1/2 Tsp Cumin
2-3 Garlic Cloves (cut in half)
1/2 Tsp Oregano
1/2 Tsp Paprika
1/2 Tsp Parsley
Pepper
1/2 Tsp Seasoning Salt
1 Egg
2 Tbsp Corn
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
1 Tbsp Flour
3-4 Tbsp Oil
4 Hamburger Buns
Cheese slices of your choice (optional but delicious garnish)Lettuce (optional but delicious garnish)
1-2 Avocados (optional but delicious garnish)
1 Tomato (optional but delicious garnish)

With this recipe you can use either a food processor like we did, or simply mash the ingredients with a fork or some strong kitchen utensil you feel comfortable using!You can start with combining most of the dry ingredients together in the food processor. These ingredients include, black beans (drained), chipotle powder, cumin, garlic cloves, oregano, paprika, parsley, pepper, and seasoning salt. Then combine with the food processor or with your mashing utensil.
Then once combined you can add the egg and turn back on that food processor for a short period until that is mixed in as well!
Now you're ready to transfer everything to a mixing bowl.
Once in the bowl you can add the corn and bread crumbs and combine (being sure not to overwork anything beyond this point).
Now once the bread crumbs have been combined well you can add the flour as the last step to making this amazing black bean burger. At this step you can get in there and mix with your hands and you can start to separate the mixture into 4 separate balls for your 4 patties.
Now you're ready to make your 4 patties and once the patties are to your liking, you're ready to start frying!
Add the oil (olive oil is what we used but you can use vegetable oil as well) to your pan and turn on your stove. You want the oil to be hot and sizzling when you drop the burgers in so be sure to let it get good and hot (the oil should start to "shimmer" in the pan and if you splashed water with your hand it should sizzle to show it's hot enough). And when it's hot you can drop them in! Depending on your burgers and how thick you make them, they should be ready to flip over to the other side after about 3-4 minutes, which is also how long the other side should cook.
If you're adding cheese like we did, you can add the slice on top at this point so it can get good and melted.
So once the other side is done you're ready to take them off the stove and add them to your delicious burgers. You can add any of the garnish listed in the ingredients, we added all of them, and if you have to choose definitely choose the avocados because they are AMAZING with this chipotle black bean burger.
